Fish-Finger-er
Very weird episode. Loved the start, its just twisted the whole story line again. We also know that Hurley gets off the island but he is *currently* not with Jack and Kate, he is with Locke. So the two groups of people have to meet at some point...theres nothing to say jack and kate are part of the oceanic 6, apart from a few releases on the web, but that could be fake(as its not like the producers havent done it before)as i seem to remember the jack and kate meeting and their existance being almost secretive. only one we can confirm out of the oceanic 6 is hurley. thats even if the oceanic 6 actually exist, as hurley was/is/is going to be(dependant on how you look at it) a madman. could be just some figment of his imagination, and theyve ran with it. next point. quite a cool episode, cant quite work out whats going on though. although thats the point of lost. chance of aaron and claire getting on the chopper and it crashing. abandoning everyone apart from the oceanic 6 etc being stuck on the island. It's kind of impossible to say the other 3 are. But i'd guess it's Sawyer, an kate is with him. As we saw in the last episode of season 3. mod_rider
One of the most satisfying episodes of lost yet, think they must have got the idea that most people were getting sick of never finding anything out!I think ben must be some sort of ex-convict/mad man of some sort, who had a theory or something that scared the government and they tried to have him arrested/captured, so he fled to an island with a group of followers. It's wierd, we know so much but none of it has been linked together properly. The mysterious black guy who met hurley and sent the 4 in the chopper must work for an organisation which holds the logo seen on the bags and the collar of the polar bear skeleton. Question is was the organisation on the island first, or was ben their first, because god knows how the polar bears got their if ben was their first. Also the wierd cage which dispensed food suggests the island is used for psychological testing on humans or animals (polar bears), as its pretty much the same as skinner's box.Lots of answers will be coming, lost has moved up a big notch in my book!!! Sneakers O'Toole
Anyone notice the picture frames changing in the house when Miles goes upstairs to talk to the ghost? Quite a few of the actual pictures change too so it's not a continuity error. It was a great episode, lots of time travel hints.
mod_rider
do you actually watch lost?I missed pretty much all of season 2 and a fair bit of season 3 and have been trying to get back into it.Obviously I do watch lost or I wouldn't be talking about it on here, I just found it an interesting episode and thought I'd put what I thought was happening, but looks like I need to do more research on what's gone on. Don't really think you have to be as hostile to say "do you even watch lost?", you could have filled in the gaps instead.....I don't know and you probably do, but if ben's been on the island since he was 10, how was that photo taken of him that the 4 "rescuers" had, looking a similar age to how he does currently? Or is that a twist that hasn't been uncovered yet?

Or is that a twist that hasn't been uncovered yet?id say its a twist that hasnt been uncovered yet, but i wouldnt say its so much of a twist, chances are just as bens got someone on the boat, the people on the boat, had someone on the island, feeding them info of ben, hence the reason they where there to find him. also, as ben etc are the hostiles and not really dharma, there the people who overthrew dharma, dharmas cctv etc could still be monitoring the island etc.

Fish-Finger-er
Cheers man, just one thing, what are the dharma initiative? Also when and how did we find out about them?erm dharma initiative is/was a foundation set up for scientific and medical research. most of its presence on the island was down to arms dealer alver hanso(a name which has been brought up in the lost world a few times but not really explained other than online)(which i guess explains the weird force field, the attacking polar bear, and the monster, all of which would be brilliant weapons for an arms dealer to sell). and although we thought ben, juliet etc, where part of dharma, they actually overthrew dharma in the purge. and took over their buildings, and killed them etc. which makes it highly possible that the boat are dharma, looking for their island back, and after the leader of the group of people that did it, ben.but im now confusing myself here. hope jt or phil can clear this up. dharma where overthrown in the purge, several years ago to say the least, many people think mid 80's to the early 90's. but kelvin in the hatch, was true dharma.and had been in the hatch for 5 years when desmond came. and desmond had been on the island 2 years when the losties met him, which puts it at 1998 when kelvin was put on the island. so unless dharma didnt know theyd been overthrown, then whats going on their timeline wise. also why do the dharma food drops still exist post 2004, if the island had been overthrown long before then, unless dharma wernt aware the island had been overthrown. JT!
I missed pretty much all of season 2 and a fair bit of season 3 and have been trying to get back into it.You best bet is to watch them. They're all available to download, there really isn't any point watching lots if you don't watch every episode religiously. Otherwise you'll just get lost. (Haha). *PHIL*
Ben's man on the boat is Michael I rekon.Kinda makes sence.how do you think it makes sense? i dunno like, i think its very possible michael was led to the freighter by ben (as he is suppose to be in season 4), but he would be so pissed off i dont think he would then work with ben... unless there is a whole big thing they havent shown us yet, like they 'took the boy' again... would explain why walt is back on the island... but then jack dad is on the island.... so lost is basically just ridiculous... but i like it
*PHIL*
saw this on the 4815162342 forum and thought it was pretty cool.We have met the enemy… and we are him. The story has always been circular, but never has it been more obvious until this episode when our four new friends arrive on the island. What greets these fresh-faced newbies that dropped from the sky? An island full of cheering survivors happy to be rescued? Yeah right. Maybe two or three seasons ago, but not now. “Light em’ up!” - Miles standing in the jungle, Jack telling him he’s surrounded by guns. Seeing him smirk at Jack, non-believing until a bullet whizzes by, a mirror-image of Jack – a mirror image of the situation the 815’ers encountered allllll those episodes ago. It was funny to watch, but it was alarming too. Look how easy it was for our main characters to become the very thing we all hated so much – the simplest of questions unanswered, the disparaging looks, the sarcasm, the jadedness… Now imagine that you’re Charlotte for a minute. You arrive smiling happily, awestruck at the beauty of the island. “Hey look! Flares! My friends are there!” Yeah that’s nice. You ask innocent questions. Someone starts to answer you, but someone else tells him to shut up. You’re disarmed. Then someone swipes your radio and straps it to a dog that runs off into the jungle. What the hell is going on? None of this makes any sense! Hehe, sure it does (to us at least). “What? Don’t you want to be found?” Nah, not really. C’mon Charlotte, get with it – before someone slugs two bullets into your chest. Oops, too late. The 815 survivors have cool jungle moves. The 815 survivors have rifles and guns. The 815 survivors have a camp, a really weird agenda (some of them anyway), and about half of them have no desire to leave the island. Sound a little familiar? You bet. Our beloved 815’ers have come full circle. They’ve executed their own purge, but the Others aren’t truly gone: the 815’ers have become the Others – without even knowing how.thats probs why the new guys are such a threat to ben/the island as they will eventually become the next others... maybe not though, there probs is some big thing theyre doing

Fish-Finger-er
Sayid is the insider?! What was with that payload thing are they in a time warp?! what you mean the insider, if hes the man on the boat, then thats wrong. as theres already someone on the boat? but yes, there appears to be a time warp between the freighter and the island. which explains a lot/nothing. Simon
You know what annoys me now? They've just set themselves up for a series about off the island, or infact a season, or even 2 of events off the island.Payload thing is interesting though! Annoying got so long to wait for stuff to be explained.
