bionicman
i run a maxxis high roller 2.5 on the rear of my bike but the thread on the side walls of my tyres keeps ripping is there any other tyre that is the same size but thicker side walls cheers
max-t
why does it rip? are your slave cylinders rubbing against it?they have really thick sidewalls.what pressure are you ruinning your tyres at? if its really low the sidewalls would be ripping because of all of the pressure going on them when the tyre folds like every time you hop...i dont know what else it could be other than the above max... eskimo
How often do they rip? Maybe it's from sidehopping so much. If it happens alot then i haven't got a clue, if everything is setup correctly that is. Possibly something to do with your rim?
mat hudson
you pretty much have the toughest tyres money can buy. maxxis dh casing is mad tough.

Orgun_Donor
Ive found that my Try all tyre has been much better then the maxxis high rollers i had, thicker side walls, and also a faster rebound.
abtrials
Hi, Maxis are excellent you sure you got the downhill version because you can get a cheeper version with crap sidewalls which will fray really easy? where you get it from? and how much you pay for it if it was under £20 you probably do have the wrong one (the xc sidewals!!!)hope this hels.look at chainreactioncycles.co.uk they have both typs! Joosh
most people that i know prefer to use the minion dh instead as the sidewalls and general rubber casings are strongerand they're a little bit grippier!
