David
Ok so i've decided its time to stop eating crap food, chocolate, chips, sweets etc...I'm not fat or trying to loose weight I just think its time for a healthier lifestyle. I know I don't drink enough water in the day so I was wondering what else would be good to drink? I dent really want anything with sugar in, I quite like the volvic water with a touch of fruit but I'm not sure how much sugar/crap stuff its got in it? Any ideas? Also thinking about eating healthy sandwhiches every day, need to be simple and quick to make and tasty! Thanks, Dave Edited October 3, 2006 by David

poopipe
Nooooo!decaf gives you aidser. well..it's still got all the same shit in just without the caffeine. There's nothing really wrong with caffeine, too much coffee can be a little rough on the old tummy - the same thing happens with decaf so why suffer the taste problems.I'd say go for pressed fruit juices rather than the concentrates - they cost a bag load more but they taste better and the acid levels are much lower (at least as far as my gut is concerned) don't go near probiotic yoghurt drinks unless you like farting - i tried them for a few months and I swear i was doing full 10 second trumps with alarming regularity - no stopping&starting just one deep dark movement , As time went on the process started getting painful so i ditched them altogether. poopipes healthy eating tips... Extreme_biker0
Chicken IS a vegetable, it grows on chickens. Eggs are also a vegetable, as they are chicken seeds. But really, avoid all the 'low fat' this and 'low sugar' that, and just eat as much natural, unprocessed food as possible.Low sugar stuff is especially bad because the sugar is substituted with a sweetener called aspartame, which, as it is the law that it warns you on the packaging of such products, contains a source of phenyl-alanine. What the f**k is that?Well phenly as anyone who's done chemistry will tell you, is the prefix for substances containing benzene. Benzene is a carcinagen on it's own, but is safe in certain compounds, just like cyanide is found in some compounds in all almonds. However it has been proven that the benzene is easily realeased from its compound and therefore becomes a carcinagen in your body.Top and tail of it is you shouldn't drink it because it is one of the few things that is PROVEN to promote cancer, and for that very reason is banned in a lot of countries, but not our good old land of hope and glory. TomR
I went through a phase of doing a 9 mile bike ride every night, eating a laod of fruit and drinking about 3 or 4 litres of water a day at work, i ended up getting a cold because it was washing so much crap out, bit of a detox, felt really good after though. Shame i didn't keep it up.

The reason they say "contains phenylalanine" is because some people have a condition where they can't have any phenylalanine (Google "PKU" if you really care). It's not a warning for normal people at all.Just because it contains a benzene ring doesn't mean it has all the same properties as benzene itself. In this case it doesn't mean that at all. Tomm
I don't really care. You do as you do, drink what you like and I'll do the same. Just don't spout a load of complete crap because some people might believe you, in the same way that you've believed some random alarmist site designed to scare people. OhNoTheAliensAreComingAndItsABigCoverup. Aspartame and Phenylalanine are different things. You said all that stuff about phenylalanine but now you're talking about aspartame. Having said that, if you avoid drinking Coke, you'll probably be all the healthier for it, so good on you. I like Coke and I don't think it's that dangerous. So I'll drink it as and when I feel like it Seeing as you wanted some links: 1. "There is no evidence that the regulated artificial sweeteners on the market in the United States are related to cancer risk in humans."2. American FDA - "More than 100 toxicological and clinical studies we have reviewed confirm that aspartame is safe for the general population."3. American Cancer Society say: "since aspartame is broken down into these components before it is absorbed into the blood stream, aspartame in its initial form does not have the opportunity to travel to target organs, including the brain, to cause cancer."And now I've wasted enough time on this.
