TomR
Anyone here swapped anything over to Torx bolts so stop things rounding off or anodised bits for some pimp-ness? If yes where did you get them from? I'm looking into getting some torx bolts so i don't round stuff off/so people don't pikey stuff off my bike etc. Also if i could get hold of some but only in large amounts would anyone be interested in buying any? will
if you can get some torx bolts with a decent depth to them Id probably be interested. However the ones that come with avid disk brakes are absolute cack. I changed em back to a hex head.
nmt_oli
I got a nice selection of Ti bolts for a couple of bits on my bike, available coloured too. Lighter than SS, dont rust ever, stonger than Ali. Also got a pimp gold ali cassete lockring from the same site, will have to have a rummage. Si-man
Torx bolts are the best ones. Not rounded one off yet, allen ones just die straight away and are made of hardened piss
TomR
Any of you guys got links from where you got this stuff?
carnagr
The only Torx bolts I've ever used were the ones on Avid discs, and they blow chunks. I also switched mine to Hex heads. I've never rounded an allen key bolt.

Sam Nichols
Exactly will, If you learn how to use a hex wrench properly [it's not that difficult!] then you won't need anything other than the standard bolts! Unless of course you want shiny/colourful bolts. Although be warned, since most of you seem to have the hex wrench handling skills of a sea otter be careful with the anodised bolts because I THINK they are really soft aluminium so they'll round like chocolate. TomR
I'm more than competent at using an allen key, and ive got more than enough sets of decent allen keys, but as i said its half to stop people pikeying stuff. The only things i really round off are the bolts on the back off the brake levers trying to dodge the gear shifter.
Caleb
Get some security bolts then, best of both worlds
