Yeh, coming from someone who knows nothing about that shiz, it's not the best photo i've seeen.

With thing's like that, where he hasn't asked for your permission, is that ok? Maybe he will be nice enough to give you a free one.......

the photo was taken just as he was passing by. supose it isnt the best angle from a trials point of view (the walls actually 52 inch ) but its in the urbis centre and the the building in the background is the urbis so its good from that point of view. i want the picture on display, its about 1 m x 0.5 m

Do you not get any "benefit" type thing? Like as if it was a fashion photo. Im sure you should, it has got your body in the photo and by him selling the photo shouldnt you get a "cut" of every photo he sells? You could make quite a few bob...

A guess about photography and privacy rules, the photographer owns all the copyrigths, and since you were in a public space, it's not an invasion on your private life (anybody else around could see you didn't bunny hop that wall :P ). It would be invasive if the pic was used for publicity for commercial services or products without your consent or for defamatory purposes... else, if you were famous, then, having your pic taken (in public places) would be part of the fame thing, you benefiting from it being published, as it is for your publicity as a famous person....

End of the story is, I don't think you can get anything... except maybe a free print if he is nice and understanding... ^_^

  • 2 weeks later...
Born in 1967, Mark has been involved in photography for over a decade, gaining a BA (hons) in Documentary and Fine Art Photography in 2001. He lives and works in Manchester. Previous clients have included amongst others, Citylife magazine, The Diocese of Manchester, The Comedy store, The Daily Mail, Urbis and The Royal Institute of British Architects. In 2005 Mark was asked to document the restoration of one of Manchesters most historic buildings "The Monastery of St Francis and Gorton" on behalf of the trust. This work can be seen in the gallery pages.

I just don't get it, £50?

Props for being in a museum though!
