Quick Question

Yo,

I have this mixer:

I'm trying to find out whether I can use both the outputs on it (Master output) at the same time. One is going to a laptop to record the other is going to a power amp...

Will it cut one off if I use the other one?

I will find out later but I don't wanna get another lead if I don't need to...

The only other way to do it is in the mic socket of laptop out the headphones to the amp but that's a pain in the arse getting the volumes adjusted for recording.

Cheers

or surely cant you use splitter leads(Y cables, or whatever you young uns call them). to split the signal in 2 directions

Splitters degrade sound quality mate...

Yeah CB I'm recording mixing, but want best possible quality. Didn't know if one output would cancel the other one...

for example on amps if you plug in headphones the speakers cut off...

My old mixer had record out so it wasn't an issue... but that was all my stuff that got nicked..

If anyone's interested I replaced all my stuff now, got Denon DNS1000's and a DNX100 with two power amps, 2 15" subs and 2 12" full range PA's... All for just over £1,300 (The joys of working in the industry!)

Cheers
