(not that there is anything wrong with that).if you dontt plan on making large prints from your pictures, then they will be fine.as your just starting out, its probably worth looking for something like a d50/d70 - i can get good clean 12x18 inch prints out of mine no problem, plus they are easy to use and generally work very well. if you prefer canon, try a 300d/350d, i'm sure they work just as well.you can't go wrong with anything mentioned above.
