you know if you dont make the sidehop cos the rear wheel slips off... does anyone else fall over catastrophically instead of casually going to pedal? :(

yup, definately!

its because you think the wheels staying up,and your legs are really compressed anyway, so when it slips down your not in a position to react quickly and catch it to pedal!

rich pearson has LOADS of takes of me trying a big sidehop in plymouth, and falling into a bush continously when i dont make it!

its quite funny to watch :P

i do find that a softer rear tyre helps when going to two wheels, more so than when going to front.

Obviously a light Bike helps, but it’s mostly about your technique. If you’re not getting very high, ask yourself are you using all of your available travel – if not are you flexible enough?

Id post a clip of me sidehoppin but its on comp which wo nicked.....anway.Sidehoppin int just like tucking as much as you can.. .just lifting your legs up as high as you can at the side of you.To get higher is mostley the power in your legs , kicking harder.It`s only your bike which has to be right up there , then if you just tilt your bike abit when you land it should bring you up.

get on backwheel sort your sen out, pull the bike higher then normal so its more vertical, and stall like that for as long as poss...

then smash your pedals hard as u can!! and pull in with your arm then smash em out again (this'l cuase the bike the jump up)

now think about tryin to smack your sen in the forhead with your forward legs knee (this will make your legs tuck upwards and to the side)

rite pressuming ur not a weak lil weaner and ur up :P push the bike into a tilt and turn your front wheel

ur up B) look at your m8s with a massive cheesy, then post £20 to me for tutoring you.. :P:P

best advice ever, big sidehops soon, yey. although you did loose me with whole 'sen' thing, thanks partz and mr pitbull for sorting that out

Ive printed that off and its int he riding bag, will have give that a bash, if it works for damon and hes getting 57" it must work, so ik giving it a bash.

Nice 1 for that damon.
