lambertr
Hi my name is RyanThank you for letting me join your forum. I got into trials not too long ago with my bmx bike, but soon realized I need stronger brakes and a more ideal frame. I got this Megamo frame for $200 U.S. Dollars and just bought some Magura HS33 EvoII rim brakesThe brakes actually don't fit, turns out the screw size is for an M4 Thread, so I went to www.mcmaster.com,and got a 5mm drill and M6 Tap for the M6 screws that come with it. I have a question: Is it ok to do this? I"m not sure if the frame is designed to handle these brakes. Is the megamo mount for the brakes obselete? or did I order the wrong brakes? Thanks guysRyan
maxxis26
you need to put a pic on, not sure what you have done, most use the two bolt evo mount designed for a v brake fitting which uses m5 bolts, and the 4 bolt mount uses m4 bolts, if youve drilled and tapped a m4 bolt mount you will have done some removing of strenth from the mounts and they may crack appart,
