Willsey
Ok i have finally got my Zona running smoothly on some new echo rims and hubs, which have been recently build from new (tartybuild i think) but now as i ride them, i get quite alot of noise from the spokes.. why is this? i think ill go and get the wheel totally trued at my local shop to see..also i just bought a new tensile 60 click freewheel.. and does it matter how tense the chain is? because my chain is real tense atm and the freewheel does drag quite alot (remember its new) so would this mess up the freewheel?thanks
Jaffacakes
A, you have a new build so it will ping until it settles in.B, Dont have your chain too tight or it just f**ks everything up really, makes your cog, freewheel and chain last less long. Orgun_Donor
Sounds like you need to loosen the chain a little best way i found, is to have just tight enough so when squeezing it on the the chain stays your a little bit off, gives enough slack and a yet its tight enough to no come off, or annoy you alot with loads of tapping and clinking. Also if its a new wheel, it will be a little creeky as the spokes settle, but a couple rides later it should be fine.
