Pace Rigid Forks

Greetings

Recommended Posts

I have searched but the topics I found about these forks didn't give me enough information.

So, I'd like to know if these forks will be ok for hooks, wheelswaps and taps, and to be run on a 180mm Hope Trials. I've read in one of the topics that the disc tabs brake off, but now there's a Ti version of the fork so it should be stronger?

Obviously I'd have them cut down to 400mm beforehand so the leverage would be smaller, and the riding position better.

i think the ti version is ti inside and carbon wrapped... i have seen it at work before retailing £200 in evans.

all i remember is that it weighs probably sub 600g (but i didn't have a scale at the time lol)

they flex like a bitch though, im not sure about the strength...will probably snap on hooks and taps.

Read his review, he says that when cut down they're stiff but he wouldn't recommend hooking, and that the crown is weak. That's why I'm questioning the Ti forks as titanium is bound to be stronger than aluminium or magnesium

LMFAO my first post got deleted, I was blabbin on about the ooooooooold school trials ally ones.

Back on topic, on the pace site it states:

NOTE; rider weight restriction on this product of 15 stones/210lbs/92kg

Erm, I wouldn't touch 'em for trials...

But they are 675g. :o
