Can I Go On Your Bike?

Guest

Recommended Posts

Its really stating to annoy me! I'm riding round with a bunch of friends when suddenly some boys bout 17 ask for a go on my bike. Me being careful i either say no which ends up with them swearing at me or spitting on my bike or if i say "yes you can go on my bike" they stay on it for ages and don't give it back for ages.

Can you think of some suggestions for what to say because some day I'm going to let them have a go and it will get nicked.

Thanks, Alex

just be really confident and say "no you're alright"

I had a random chav ask me that:

Chav: "Thats a nice bike"

Me: "It is a nice bike yes"

Chav: "How much is it worth?" <-Transparent

Me: "Enough"

Chav: "Can I have a go?"

Me: "No you're alright"

Chav: goes off sulking

Work out how much your bike costs, then ask them to give you the value of your bike in cash and have it in your pocket, then let them go on it.

then get mugged when people know how expensive it is.

Say something is broken that they don't understand i normally mention bottom bracket or pawls n bearings , they just look confused and believe me

Ye thats my one liner, just drag out a major long sentence to do with the missing bearings and broken pawls, by the time you finish they are already on there way.

Also avoids fights and shizzle (Y)

Yup works for me. Something along the lines of:

" Sorry, my hub is messed up internally, so im trying to rie it as little as possible so it doesn't break. If it does when your on it, it might throw you off"

When a chavs in a street with his friends, they don't normally want to risk falling off in front of them.

him - "can i 'ave a go on your bike innit, like, get what i'm saying?"

you - "that's no way to speak about your mum"

problem solved.

Haha. Brilliant.

When we was out riding once some kids asked us if they could have a go. I said nah and they said ahh go on we won't break it or anything so I still said no. Then they came out with their nan could do better which i replied, she can't because she's an arthritic cripple... They turned away and walked off haha. (Y)

No, i don't trust you.

No, it's broken.

No, you too small.

No, becuase i couldn't compete with Alic C's rates, therefor, closeure was inevitable.

I'm looking forward to the day some chav takes my bike when i'm not on it. Chase after them as they're pedaling like a humming bird, grab a handful of 185mm of hope mono trial and watch them fly over the bars. Then backhop on their face.
