I think delusional said Gentoo was pretty good. Just give a few a try and see what you like.A few people on here use http://www.ubuntu.com/ which is supposed to be good for newbies. (Download and burn)Then just put the CD in, restart, and itll load linux off the CD without making any changes to your har ddrive. If you like them, then you can install the one you like. Lee Cable Posted September 22, 2006 Author Report Share Posted September 22, 2006 Right, ive downloaded it and everything, burnt it to disk, goto install and it says that it cant read from disk, so i tried again, burnt it, tried and it still doesnt work.3rd time lucky maybe? hell no, still no luck?anyone wanna help? You need to use a proper CD recording program like Nero and open the image file with that, then burn it to a CD. And if you don't know that then you'll probably not get along very well with Linux!
