nmt_oli
What is the speed rating on them? Its usually shown by a letter.Letter.............Max speed km/h.................mphN............................140............................87P............................150............................93Q ...........................160............................99R............................170............................106S.............................180...........................112T.............................190...........................118H.............................210...........................130V.............................240...........................149W............................270............................168Y.............................300............................186ZR...........................240+.........................149+Sooooo, if there any of those they should be fine fot the MOT as the max legal speed in this country is 70mph. If you intend to drive at 100mph, and there N or P rated- then woudl reccomend changing them. Edited September 22, 2006 by nmt_oli
trials_pimp
As long as the Speed ratings are the same on each Axle its ok.IE, you can have 2 V's on the Back and 2 W's on the front, but cant have V on left and W on right. If you that worried, stick the wheels off your SRi on the Autism for the day. br3n
I was going to do that but spoke to setyres MOT guy (who was slightly retarded and told me to bring the car down after explaining 3 times I couldnt as its not registered/taxed/mot'd/insured etc) but then told me they only check that the tyres on the same axel are the same and that theyre in good condition.Speed rating is not checked (still unsure why he told me to bring it down if thats the case)Also spoke to someone "in the know" and he said the same thing, So no need to swap wheels over.
