bowman12
At the moment im riding a 26" bike but i did my first comp on sunday and i got told that a smaller bike would help. ive ridden a T-pro, T-mag and a T-bird but they all feel too small. like a miro scooter with pedals. what does everyone think of a 24" bike? Fishy
Very street. Flickable ect, not really comp bikes. Why opt for a shorter stock? Base or something a long the lines of that?
GTF
If you're riding comps, don't get a 24" bike. You can't compete with those. Get a short 26" instead Like the Koxx Levelboss 1040 or something
Osram
Basically 24" bikes are mainly designed for the streets as some of the guys have already said very flickable and great for bunnyhops and spins. in my opinion if your looking for a shorter bike maybe an onza woodstock or even a planet x zebdi short frames very good for both street and natural . Krisboats
1040 wheelbase Base TA26, get one cheap and it wont matter if it doesnt suit you as you could sell it on and make a profit.Just find someone selling one cheap
bowman12
these all arehelpful comments but my frame is already short!!! it a giant trials team. here are some pics
Krisboats
I'd say you look fine on that, not like your too small for it at all.
tomtrials
To be honest i would get a new frame it could be that frame is too bulky and getting in your way. I have to say 24" are very nice to ride not the best at natural but still feel sweet all the same. I would have a go on some other shorter 26" and 24". Luke Rainbird
24" is for street really because there aint any classes for them in comps reallythey nice bikes thoughWell Mr Bowman,I'm sure you know how I feel about the whole situation, but then I like to do things a little differently! If it's just the WEMC comps you are planning on entering then you will probably get away with riding 24" (like me, cheers Tuppers ) however that would mean that there would be two of us, and I would have to try a bit harder...As Lady Morgan above has said though, there's no real class definition for comps in general, so if you are planning to go that way (shock horror) then you're probably safer sticking with the 26" wheelsAs said before, you are plenty big enough to ride 26", but it's your callTo be honest, just get out and ride (Plymouth, tomorrow, be there!) *ahem*
dan c
there should be a 24" inch class at every comp, as that is why i am contemplating getting a woodstock over a zoot. 24" could just be a new way to love trials OR be a revolution and be the most popular size ever. its like recycling, the possibilitys are endless lol
