Scooter
Thanks for the advice guys, sorry to sound like a numpty but I'm new at this - how come i'm seeing so many drilled rims?Does this not make them weak or is the extra weight loss worth the risk?Do many of you run with drilled rims or is that just for show and not for serious? will17will17
I run a front onza drilled hog disc rim, no problems *yet* but i would never drill a rim just to make it looks better or to loose say 50g becuase its not worth it you might as well cut down on your food portions if you want to loose weight.run a rear ronnie built on profile no problems, no grind using Heatsink blue pads and tar. if you are knackering so many rims why don't you pump your tires up a bit so everytime your on back wheel you not *Riming* everything, that is how rims get Fook*d Either way if you have a decent rim like everyone keeps saying get the echo 07, it will last much longer if you do pump tires up so you don' rim things. Hope this (lecture) helps EDIT: The drill walls of a hog rim is for show i guess, downside though, if my disc brakes or stops working i can't use a rim brake....
