The bikes come with over 50 years of development and experiance from the MAD Team.Important factors are-7005 Frames1075 wheelbase5mm BB rise72 head angleBS 6102 approved.I pulled that off there sad website. I and many other i think will agree that this bloody BS 6102 aprovale STD needs to be rewroked or the manfacutres be checked on every 3 months min randomly to make sure!!I also belive the pics to the model number and spec is wrong!Good luck Giles wish you all the best, stop talking shite and get rididng a bike again

Luke Rainbird
Ok Pete calm down...From first looks at them (over the net, not in reality of course) they seem like pretty tidy bikes for the cash, so we'll see...
PaRtZ
I speak for quite a few im sureWhat are you on about/What is your point exactlyFor a start BS 6102 has many factors including cable thickness, bolt torque ratings, saddle adjustments etc. Just because you suggesting they will snap (on what grounds im still unclear) doesn't mean they're not following british standardsSecondly Phase is not saracen, so whatever problems you may have experiance with MAD frames before when they were saracen doesn't mean the voodoo bad luck has been passed on with the name to these frames. Same design maybe (tweaked for 2007 or whenever) but NOT THE SAME......Thirdly Id like to see some evidence ofgetting them all sent back for snapping and being as wankBare in mind im talking about phase, not saracen. Just because the design is the same, doesn;t mean everything else is.......Now if any of this is wrong then feel free to correct me, but I just don't see where all of this comes from in all honesty..... tom 20
i thought they lookd good at first but aftethe right up on them and a look at the price tag i think not some how.. Edited September 17, 2006 by tom
Fishy
I think they look awesome for the price, I can't see anything really that bad about them. Even though they are kinda connected to saracen, through MAD, I still think they would be pretty ace bikes.

I forget why, it might have been 'cos saracen went bust, or maybe they just realised they were shite...

Danny@phatworks
I don't see how you can heavily criticize a frame that hasn't been distributed/on sale yet, Phase bikes isn't Saracen is it? so how you can make a comparison to the Saracen frames I don't know (apart from the fact they have both had design input by MAD ). If you owned a Phase 'MAD' frame and snap it fairly easily/quickly then yes, you do have a valid say on the quality/lifespan of these frames. These bikes (as far as I am aware do only come as a full build bike) are clearly primarily targeted for people who are just starting up trials being as MAD are after all a demo team who are introducing people to the sport, so why not showcase full build bikes which people are going to look at as a realistic price in comparison to a frame only what is the same price? I personally like the frame myself, the geometry sounds good, they come in a good range of colours as oposed to the 'long, low and silver' type frames and the components on the bike look pretty decent for the price, it will be interesting to hear the kind of feedback they get. basher
they look in my opinion, and i doubt they will be as good as the onza range such as t-rex and t-raptor which are around the same price.
