justfuzzit
My shimano housing Isnt cuting it. I still need a little more power in the rear. Nokon, would it make that big of a difference? What about imitations? I have a few different Options at my LBS. Avid flack jacket work any better?Yes, I know weve discussed this before. I have a more straight up question: How much more power does Nokon (and immitations of it) give you over regular shimano brake housing?Oh yeah, and can Avid SD 7 levers give you more power than SD 5's? XPbIM3
i dont realy think that Nokon will tottaly solve your problemi am using alligator housing and alligator cables with teflon surface - it works perfect with AVID singledigit5or i think Jagwire teflon cable+Jagwire housing will do the job tooand take care of how you cable routed from lever to brake
CurtisRider
get an oddyysssseeyyy linear slick cable, 7quid usually from most bmx shops, and an xtr/avid ultimate lever-then you will have a bloody awesome setup sd5s are pretty shabby levers in my experience, and i was highly unimpressed with my old nokon cable for the rear (front worked awesome though ), ive tried many different cables and outers over the years and the linear slick always comes up trumps
