philking
Well hello there guys and girls,Its about time i started to test the water to see who is around... Basically i am starting uni in Twickenham in 6 days and (of course) i am taking my bike. Thing is i don't know who lives in london and/or particually that area of London, and I don't know London from a riding point of view having never ridden there before.Basically i don't know yet when my spare time will be and i will probably be getting a job, but when i do get time to ride i am looking for some people to show me round. I love both street and natural and try to ride as much as possible. I am from Lancaster/Kendal area and usually ride with Tom Rigg, Adam Read, Dan Swindlehurst, Andy Brown, Steve Winder and many others. I ride expert in competitions (Tyke and YMSA) but am not one of these riders who won't do street So basically what i want to know is: Who are you, where do you live, what level are you riding at and do you fancy showing me round and riding with me in london? Thanks All Phil
N.Wood
I'm currently at uni in Plymouth, so am not around to show you things I'm afraid! As for riding London, see which trains run from Twickenham to the central London stations such as Waterloo/Victoria/London Bridge/Liverpool st. etc.Once you know where you'll be coming in to, multimap it and find the London Eye, which is near waterloo/waterloo east. This is where most London rides start, and if you can get there you'll have a nice tour of the London riding spots. Also, check out Battersea Park, as it has some pretty good natural stuff (by London standards anyway!)Good Luck! Joe_Elding
If you're in Twickenham both Staines and Kingston are really good, havent been to twickenham though, around that area theres Simon Pearless who lives in Croydon area (I think?) and Sponge and Tim roderiguez from around the kingston area. Theres also me and about 8/9 other riders in Woking. Simon rides expert i think at comps and most others are street gays. theres also 80 or so regulat riders of central london (waterloo etc.)
N.Wood
SIMANG!1111Yeh Simon rides in Croydon, though the trek from Twickenham to Croydon isn't worth being stabbed to be fair.
