London, September 3rd Video

Hey Everyone,

Finally got around to editing up the footage. This is only the second video I've ever edited - so be gentle on me.

http://www.thinkbikes.com/media/LondonSep3.avi

It's encoded in xVid/DivX with MP3 Audio and it's 13MB. It's under 2 minutes long as I really didn't get that much footage at all.

The song is "Free" by VAST (Visual Audio Sensory Theater).

Riders Include:

Dave Lowe

Darren Hill

Matt Staples (Who is going to kill me after he sees the video....)

Sam Wheeler

Fred Grillet

Andrew Chai

Tom Rankin

Leon Neill

Nick Goddard

Chris Ward

Joe Elding

If I've missed anyone off, tell me and I'll add it to the list.

I haven't linked to this on the thinkbikes.com site yet, as I'm still working out how I'm going to separate the promotional side of the demo team, and trials community stuff (don't want potential customers downloading the wrong videos now, do I ;) ;))

Tom (Forgotton his last name, but incredibly smooth/awesome monty/dual disc rider)

Chris (from Kent, also unsure of last name)

If I've missed anyone off, tell me and I'll add it to the list. I know for a fact there are 3 riders unaccounted for, which I hate doing, but my memory is useless. I met far far far too many new people that day! On top of that, I haven't watched the film since last night, so I'm going from memory.

ha ha, excellent finish :D , nice group ride atmosphere (Y)

That was lovely.

Could have been more of me

That's all I had of you. If I remember rightly Chris, you objected to me filming you as you wanted someone proper doing it, like JJ :P :P

What's your last name btw, I'll update my list.

Liked that a lot, You need a wide lens though

Yeah, I'm not a serious filmer or anything - so the thought hadn't even crossed my mind. I've only had the camera a few months!

I think one issue, was that I was using a Premiere plugin that removes any camera shake. In order to do this, it zooms in slightly. So I lost a little bit, with heads etc. But it really does the job.

Lmao @ Staples at the end. Spode you're evil! lol! Qaulity riding on that day thoroughly enjoyable! Nice vid dude, seems the NTSC camcorder aint too bad! :)

J.

:D I'm sure Matt will see it in a good light. It was just such a great angle, and such a great shot, I couldn't NOT use it!

Yeah, it's not bad. But I'm definetely going to have to consider getting an HD Cam. Take advantage of my Journalist discount :D

Never The Same Colour.... Didn't even realize :P

Well, I bought it for putting stuff on the internet, not DVD. And considering you'll pretty much always resize the stuff for the net, I figured the lower resolution wasn't a huge issue.

As NTSC has a slightly higher frame rate, it's questionably slightly better for fast moving stuff like trials.

However, in saying that, I bought it on a whim while in SFO and completely forgot about the NTSC/PAL difference and instead just looked at the amazing deal I was getting :D So I'm kind of justifying my purchase ;)

not a bad vid, some great riding, but you don't seem to like peoples heads at all!

Yeah, well it's the bike's that matter ;)

No, as I said above - the filter I used zoomed in slightly and lost heads. In hind sight perhaps I should have just put up with the slight shake and turned it off. I might try a re-render later.

Could do with a wide-angle really.
