Walleee
Afternoon gentlemen, Im hoping to go to an open day/meet a friend in dundee next week, been looking at travel cost's and such and it's totally do-able, the only concern I have is wether or not easyjet require you to have some sort of ID.I work for the passport service, and know that it's not required by law, but some airlines are very particular about what they will accept as a valid form of ID.Im just wondering if anyone has had experiance of flying within the UK with Easyjet and what they have asked for, if anything. I have called easyjet cust. service but it's an automated service and none of the options relate to travel requirements......Any help would be much much appreciated as im trying to get this sorted asap, the open day is 7 day's from now
tomturd
Well... I flew to Ireland (Dublin) and all they needed was a driving licence... if thats any help.I'd imagine you'd just need some sort of photo ID, so they know they're letting the right person onto the plane. Luke Rainbird
If it's just a passport wouldn't it make sense just to take it anyway, that way you have it if you need it. It's not as if it's a huge suitcase full of photos of your life in chronological order to prove it's you, so it's not really much, just so long as you keep it safeish you'll be fine surely?Any if you work for the passport service, any problems that you may have (unlikely) should be relatively simple to put right. Luke Rainbird
Well take the student card with you as it's better than nothing, and if you are lucky they MAY accept it.Is there no way that you can get a passport sorted with ultra-quick turnaround, being an insider and all? Walleee
I wish, it'd cost a bit more than the return flights o get it back in time, and it wouldn't even be guaranteed.....
Luke Rainbird
Ah hideous...OK, taken from various places in the EasyJet T&C's:3.3. Validity A Ticket is only valid for the Passenger named and the Flight and car rental specified being the person and Flight and car rental for which the reservation was originally made or as subsequently changed and accepted by us in accordance with Article 3.2 above.7.2. Requirement for Check-in at the airport On check-in you are required to present certain information relating to your Flight and identity. This must include the Booking Reference of the Flight which you have confirmed with us and an acceptable form of photographic identification. Details of these requirements, necessary for all Flights (both international and domestic), are stated in our Carrier's Regulations .So, off looking around the Carrier's Regularions...Nothing really to copy/paste, but it seems that for INTERNATIONAL flights you need a passport or valid National ID Card, but I couldn't find anything about internal flights.Head over to the EasyJet site and hae a look though, as I had to skim it as I'm heading out in a minute.Hope this helps a little, sorry I couldn;t find more

Walleee
I've been through both of them, and it does not state what's considered acceptable forms of ID, there is the following statement from herePassengers are required to provide photographic ID at check-in on all flights including domestic services. If you are unsure what constitutes a valid ID we recommend you contact our customer service department on 0871 244 2366 (calls cost 10p per minute; calls from mobiles and other networks may cost more) for further information. The problem being I can't get talking to anyone at Cust.
