Mark W
What's helping my shoes last longer now though is mostly the "stamp" stopping technique. All good

Ra964
I use mechanical hayes mx2.....i wouldn`t change-it for anithing else it`s cheap, it has good bite, good lock, and nice modulation
yoyoyo
I run a vee on the front, but i'd prefer a disk out of the two options.
lawrence osborn
Ran a disk for a while now and i'm thinking about going back to the good old maggie but i can't mae up my mind
Greetings
I used a Magura for quite a while until my lever decided to crack and I had to go disc. The Maggie is nice and strong, good for locking the wheel but that's about it. Gives worse visibility, is very loud when you want to slow down and doesn't really have much modulation. On balance I'd say a disc is better but a Magura is more pimp Edited November 17, 2006 by Inur
Phil H
I run a maggy on the front - mainly due to the fact I couldn't afford a good disc at the moment. If it isn't broken dont fix it . Allthough my front maggy with tar is literally on or off. - nothing in between. Preety good modulation then as you can expect! My friend recently got a magura marta disc for the front which is supposedly a freeride brake and is abit dodgy if im going to be honest (maybe due to the fact he hasnt got the original 180mm rotor on) I'd prefer my maggy anyday to his disc but im presuming when a nice disc is set up it performes far beyond maguras. We also tried putting one of his hope M4 brakes on his trials bike - Mistake! Didn't work atall.Phil

eskimo
Neither! Front vee on a chrome rim. Yes you heard right. I ditched the magura and echo wheel with a grind for a bmx wheel. So vee's for me. Untill i get the chance to use a disc.
