caddis
Hi i know this is a bit off topic with not being trials related but its bike related so i dont see to much of a problem, anyway i know there are quite a lot of people on this forum who also are interested in downhill etc. anyway i was wondering if its possible to have triple clamp forks on a kona shred or scrap and if so what would it be like, would it be compatible or not.thanks for the help cheers people. bob87
Yeah it would run alright depending on the lenght of travel. What sort of triple clamps are you talking about?
caddis
marzocchi bombers or juniot t's or something pretty much similiar to them.
craigjames
the frame is only designed to run with 5 " travel forks, but if your using it for downhill should be ok as it'll slacken the head angle which should make it ok for the steeps, i'd recomend droppin the forks as far as they go in the crowns though to stop you gettina silly slack head angle. the bb height might rise so it might not be a as stable in the corners as before but hey should be ok, just dont go for a stupidly long fork!!craig
caddis
what forks would you suggest?
bob87
Then yes it will work but there might be complications later on though.Putting a set of triple clamps on a frame intended for single crown 100mm forks will raise the BB up higher and will put a lot of stress on the head tube.I would suggest to run a set of long travel single crown forks, something like Rockshox Pikes.
