XPbIM3
just cant choose what gear ratio to go onnow iam using 21/18(=1.16666) on 170mmbut may switch to 22/18(=1.22222) or maybe buy some 175mm cranks and go 22/18(it will be like a 1.1873 gear on 170mm cranks)So the questons are:Does anybody uses a 22/18 gear ratio with 170mm cranks? & how high/long is your pedal kick? What is yours recomendations to me? what gear to use? aener
I run 22:18.However, I've not been biking all that long - about 4 weeks in total (2 weeks before, and 2 weeks after I'd broken my ankle)At the minute - I'm getting about 22" high as my sidehop limit (vertical)About 2.5-3' (feet) across pedal kick (I call them lurches?),And pedal hoping (to me - lurch again ) up is about 12"I'm on a T-Pro incase you wanted to know I couldn't tell you what length my cranks are, I just bought them Can you say if these heights are about normal for my time? Bearing in mind I broke my right ankle and I'm right foot forward so I'm a bit weaker (still re-strengthening)... I'm a bit worried I'm falling behind , as I have no-one to bike with in my area, I can't compare. (Anyone around the Loughborough area, give me a shout on msn: flipp1@hotmail.co.uk)I'd say the ratio is very nice to ride, I love it...Go for it Any help?FlippEDIT: 22t sproket is on cranks, 18t is rear freewheel.
