m4rko
Now this sounds better. Rav, thanks for clearing this out So I recon you could use 2.5" tyre with 381mm CS position? What about the material of the frame? What size disc is it possible to use? What size disc is it possible to use?at 381mm I've checked HOT S 2.5 and Big Betty 2.4..fits without any problems (Yoke is optimized for more radial tyres like HOT S)Frame alloy is 6061 And heat treatment T62Rear disc IS2000 so 160mm without adaptors. You can put adaptors and use rotors 180/185/200/203mm Edited September 6, 2006 by rav
trialsalot
still not keen on the whole idea but thats my opinion.im sure that it has its benefits and will be beneficial to some riders but im still a normal stock rider.i thought that when 55mm bb rise was made into a frame it was a step forward but this seems like a whole new thing.great engineering on the frame though, the features are so neat rav i would try one for sure and if it was a benefit to my riding i'd give it a blast.i've got first go on someones craig

Krisboats
It seems wank design and idea. My oppinion. I love my vertical dropouts and chaintensioner.Horizontal dropouts aren't needed because it's more hassle to set up your brakes, wheel moves if you use quick release. And after a while, your chain is going to get slack. I hang out with street riders so I know they like it, thank you very much. Are you a bit slow or what? I meant adjusteable=possible to set up with that sort of rear end. Buy a dictionary.Dear God! 14mm*2 = 28mm as opposed to let's say Simtra's 10mm*2, that's what I meant. I know my qr skewer wouldn't fit.The paint weighs 200 grams? I thought maybe it has thicker downtube or something.Felix said it supports 160mm rotor and knowing his previous connections with BT he should know what's he talking about. It does sound weird, that's why I asked about it.I don't know what's gotten you so irritated, are you paid to spread good word about BT or what?I want these ingenious ideas explained better to me so I would feel inclined to buy it.Right okay, firstly... i pointed out that it has a mech hanger fitment as well. So the people who want a verticle style mech can have one, and the rest of the world can use horizontal dropouts. I reckon thats the best way of having a rear dropout system for the sheer functionality of it.My hope skewer has about 4mm of skewer sticking out with my 10mm drop outs so i'd imagine it'd fit alright. And i didnt say the paint weighs 200grams, i said thats the apparant difference between them, 200 grams on paint is just silly.Dude, by yourself a dictionary, least i can spell adjustable. I was pointing out the fact that the 4 bolts will be exactly the same as mod bikes for adjustability, as their welded down too.Supports 160mm doesnt mean you can't have others does it? So i guess you don't know fully what your on about, same as i didnt know about the double butted welding stuff. NevermindI should "by" myself a dictionary? Lol, oh the irony of making mistake there English isn't my mother tongue. You have to use an adaptor, unlike Simtra which has elegant solution to utilize maximum size rotor.Have you cooled off by now? spode@thinkbikes
Is that a yes, we're VAT registered, or yes it's not hard It's a good step forward to see a rear disc mount, but the KOT disc mount is still the best so far and I have no real intention of changing. However, I'm siding more with Krisboats on this, I don't think it's a bad design. Greetings
I think it's great! The dropouts are very nicely designed, some good engineering there And for those of you who complain about horizontal dropouts, think about other advantages - the possibility of adjusting the wheelbase/cs length which I'm sure can only be beneficial to one's riding. You can always use a mech and gears. As for the weight factor, I doubt that having normal dropouts would change much.I also doubt an 8" wouldn't work with that frame. What Felix probably meant was that the minimum disc size is 6" which isn't the case in every disc frame.
Gilman
Hey rav,Will the frame also be available with V brake mounts instead of maggie mounts?I really like the horazontal dropouts, I think it is the best way to go if your running SS, which most seem to be doing these days.Frame looks great, BTW.Matt. toyota200x
I have always loved BT bikes and this is no exception. I am super excited to see a rear disc mount and a lower BB. I hope more companies get away from that trend. I really can't express how much I like this new frame.BT =
trialsni
Hey Rav,Tartybikes? You could try www.bikedock.co.uk They were distributing Brisa, and may have been their sole UK representative. Bikedock are second only to www.chainreactioncycles.co.uk in my opinion. Stevei left bikedock 6 months ago and started my own shop riverside cycles so doubt they will be doing any serious trials stuff anymoreplus i tried to get of rav before and had and order then my boss never give me the funds sorry about that one rav my hands were tied hence one of the reasons for leavingmaybe next year i want a free tax year for me first year
