Zoo pads are good on a non-grounded rim, also check out some of the other topics on pads, use the search button at the top of the page and you will find lots of topics on different kinds of pads (Y)

Tom.

ZOO pads. Best pads ever on a smooth rim. I ran it for ages. Ali Mike's brake is shat as. It's appauling.

no longer available unless you get in quick to somewhere who has some left :o

thing is when the rim gets wet you can just pull the back brake in a few times nd the pads will warm up and work a treat

koxx pads are grind pads id say even though they seem to blunten them realy quick. crms are awsome on a grind but i wouldnt say there much cop on a smooth rim zoos are the norm for a smooth rim but as soon as u start using tar pads dont realy matter as ali said a small poodle and some chips would do.

if you must use a smooth rim, instead of using tar, you can slightly soften the pad by pushing it against a hot flat surface....it makes the pad slightly tacky and works mint on a smooth rim, even in water (but forget it when theres mud involved)
