nafan
Well I changed from an 04 to 05 and I thought it was much better, providing you have the right pads they give awesome braking power, just try to tighten the tpa as little as possbile during set-up...Nathan
Si-man
The new levers are gash, stick with the old ones
GTF
the 04 models are the best. never tried a 03, but the 04 is waaay better than the 05 (which i thik is the same as the 06)
T-MAG-05-DAN
Dont get the newer maggies they are kack, mine lasted about 3 months then the tpa stripped so i coudent adjust it, then i bought the older style lever as you cant by the tpa on its own, then i sold the maggie lever and bought an RB desing lever and have never looked back it is so good and dosent leek. so yes stay with the levers you have got as they are better then the newer ones and if you want to make you brakes better buy fresh products levers and but a four bolt booster on the back, maybe a grind and some good pads or some soft pads and some tar.Dan

weewillywinky
i went form the original ones off my monty 221 x-lite which is ooo older than my grandad to the o6 and, noticed they were worked better but like i have said before there are so many different variables with brakes. they did work allot better but only if they are set up right otherwise they'll feel like smearing poo on your rims. they wouldn't of changed the design unless it was better, every thing is there for a reason. Jaffacakes
IMO they've tryed to shave too much weight off the 2005/06 and have just made it shit and weak. There was nothing wrong with the older lever anyway The pic above sort of proves it

Tom_
Im pretty sure they are the same, people just refer to them as the 06 model instead of the 05.tom
Jaffacakes
My 05 lever broke But only because I missed my front wheel on a sidehop and smashed it on a wall :$ The 05/06 levers are so much more comfy And more powerful There not more powerful you 'tard. The pistons are the same and the piston sizes are the same, there fore... they work the same. Except the lever on the 05's are smaller which means less leverage than the 04 so if anything the 04's are more powerful.

matt!
ive landed on my lever about 2-3 times now on sidehops but they havent cracked or snapped, the TPA( turbo pad adjustment) has jst broken
Fvil
well the trick is dont have your levers tighened up FULLYtighen to the point where it can move if you hit it with a little forcewhich means when you hit somthin it has the abilly to moveand not be stiff so it has a FAR lesser chance of snappin

poopipe
what the hell are you lot doing to them ? I've been running the same 05 for over a year with absolutely no problems at all and I fall off and stuff myself into things all the time. The only reason to change is that some people prefer the lever feel on 04s (personally I prefer the 05 but to be honest i think they're both f**king horrible). I'd rather the TPA were internal (as it is on the 05s) because you stand less chance of bashing it on things - how the hell people manage to strip them is beyond me - you're only supposed to use your fingers to adjust it . Tom_
id rather have the leaver tightened up fully and maybe snap it, than do a faceplant thank you you do it up so that it doesnt move under the preasure of your finger, but so it will move if it slams into something hard. tom Edited September 5, 2006 by tom132
