26inch
You could drill out the holes slightly larger then tap a larger thread in, then you would be running larger, stronger bolts, you would also have to drill out the magura clamps too

leemekeetja
I have the same problem...One of them thread is completely gone So i run v-brakes with adapters...I put some superglue around a magura bolt and just shoved it in And wow, it holds pretty nice actually. But i soon gonna upgrade to maguras, i dont know what happends then.I think i drill the tread off totally and tap new and bigger thread in it.Magura adapters need then drilling too but thats okay with me . court
hiThere is no point in tapping it as it will be just as strong as it was before .Go to a local engineer and see if they can helicoil it its the strongest way of doing it.It should only cost about 10-15pounds.hope this helpscourt

The Duck
get them helicolied, your local garage you should be able to do it for you.Damn right! Helicoiling is basically where you stick this thing that looks a bit like a screwdriver into the threaded object. Its like a sharp bolt sort of thing (having a bit of trouble explaining ). It just re-threads things. If you still dont have a clue what i'm on about, use the search!!
