pinky
Don't buy an old VW Polo what ever you do. They are as useless as a one legged man arse kicking competition. I used to have one, every time we went over 36 mph the oil pressure warning light came on and it started to make a buzzing noise. Useless. But a few laps round the banger-racing track made me feel much better You obviosuley didnt know how to take care of it then? Some people are full of shit

beigemaster
I've got my test coming up in October so at the moment I'm investigating first cars. I'm learning with the AA so I'm currently in a Focus and I also drive my mum's Clio (I hate it, pedals are too small and I keep hitting my head on the ceiling!). I'm looking at getting an Escort maybe a 1.4 , confused quoted me 1.2 grand for 3rd party which doesn't seem too bad. Anyway does anyone here own/drive an Escort and would they be suitable for a first car (moving from a Focus)?
