What's the point in paying £15 for pads which you need to use tar with?

I'd have thought the idea was you pay the extra money over standard pads, to eliminate the need of having to use tar / any sorta sticky stuff.

I laught at the mugs who pay £15 for zoo pads, have to use tar, making their rim's look gash, and can't ride in the wet, while im using my coust's in hail rain or snow, with nice clean rims and better feel than tar could ever offer. I guess for those who like a brake with literally NO modulation it's ok, but then why not just buy black pads and use tar?

How come it's generally accepted for people to say 'zoo pads with tar are best' while If I even mentioned using tar with my coust's id be shot down, are they really that shit that you need to use tar?

good rant man having used just about every combo of rim,pad andwith and without tar i couldn't agree more

there is no magic pad that solves all your problems everybody situation is different and what works for one person with the same parts wont be the same for another otherwise we would all be world champs by now :)
