RicH_87 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Share Posted September 1, 2006 it's a ford so the labour should be pretty straight forward, i.e done in a couple of hours.i would also reccomend you buy the new clutch yourself, i bet you could easily get one for between £50 and £80, where as the garage/dealer you use will undoubtedly charge you £100+ for it.So, say £80 tops for a clutch and at the most £200 - £250 labour.I am basing all this on what i found when thinking about replacing my clios clutch, which would be a lot more fiddley and on a lot older car. Ill find out how many cc and miles its done.My dad said he cant feel it engaging properly sometimes, like the engines revving and nothings engaged. A garage told him he needs a new clutch... Bucky Posted September 1, 2006 Report Share Posted September 1, 2006 (edited) £350 all in at my work.wouldnt bother getting a back street garage to do it as you need to drop the subframe down to get the box out and then you need the ford special tools to realign it when building back up.top mechanic at our place can do them in around 2-2.5 hours depending upon seized bolts etc.bucky -ford service advisor.
