thenewone
Hi guys, didn't really want to start another of these "Hi I'm new here" topics, but I've got a couple of questions and was hoping somebody could help me. Just thought first I'd introduce myself, I'm Matt, getting my first trials bike (t-bird) some time next week hopefully. Seeing some of the videos on here it seems I've got a bit of practice to get in Anyway, I was wondering first...I've found a pair of basic onza cranks for £25, will these do for a beginner? I'm not going to be going too crazy for a while yet so don't want to fork out masses for a set. Also, can someone reccomend me a pair of forks for my t-bird? I don't really know much about components yet, and I've done a search but all the results seem to be around £90, is there anything available for around the £30 mark that will last until I need to upgrade? Thanks alot, any help's greatly appreciated. The Duck
If your looking at these cranks (click the badger) then yes! Their fine for a beginner. Depending on how good you get, how quickly, you'll probably want some slightly better ones in about a year! And forks... I'd go for some second hand ones, you can always get a good deal on the for sale/wanted threads!Welcome to the forum matey! And for god's sake obey the rules! Oh yeah... Add me on msn if you've got it mate, i'll be able to help you out a bit more. Edited September 1, 2006 by Mr_Tensile
sir trial a lot
no offence mate but your wasting your money building a low quality bike, just buy a full build t-bird or t-pro from tarty bikes or somewhere like that.
poopipe
depends how much he's spending on this one really doesn't it ?if this is a new t-bird you're absolutely right. might as well get a t-proforks: echo lites (or whatever the cheaper mod forks are called) are about 75 notes and every mo'fo' on the planet seems to use them. I've got the zoo cnc ones, no complaints at all about them at all but they're £20 more expensive and 150-200 grames heavier than the echos
