hey, ive just ordered some plazmatic pads because i done some research on them and most peoples comments were extremly good, but now that i bought them i done some more reasearch and saw a few replys saying that there plazmatic pads have lost half the pad in one ride and have yellow dust on there rim people started saying it was just a 'bad batch' but im quite worried now as i dont have the money to keep buing pads if they run out...

what i want to know is...

has anyone bought some plazmatic pads recently? and have they worn down really quick?

also if they are still wearing down quick do they work good on a smooth rim? and not wear down as fast

thanks any help appricieated

Mine wore a bit at first and then just stopped wearing almost entirely. I think my pair on the front lasted for basically when I was in the womb to five minutes ago (ish). They're good pads though :)

Harsh grind's not gonna help them out, so just keep it light to medium and you'll be fine.

funny you should say that, mine appear to have stopped wearing completely - they wore to start with, up to maybe a 3rd of the way in and just stopped after that.

as long as it isn't me

I had some, they fully wore out within 2 weeks.

I think its cause the first day i got them, i slowed down on a hill using the brake, before they were even bedded in... and they wore like 3/4 of the way  and then after that, they were total wank.

Worst £18 iv ever spent (Y)

Koxx reds is where its at!!!

So you happy with your reds now?

I had some of Prawn, they where crap, they wore right down in a day, well about 2 hours, and they where shite too, but they where cheap. So I wasn't that pissed.

Second time you've used a set of new brake pads to "slow down on a hill" and raped them. f**king learn from your mistakes already! Plaz pads are amazing, it's just that you don't appear to be able to operate a bike correctly :P

Hehe, i had the plaz pads well over 1 year ago, they wear on a VERY harsh grind lol.

I didnt even set the brake up very well, cause i didnt know how lol.

But, now with my reds, i finally sorted them this morning, after not riding for 2 full weeks, and now they are BEAST!!!!

I love my Plaz pads, best and only pad i've ever used :D

Mine have lasted me a good 8 months, and i needa order some more as they've worn down too much now.

Awesome pads on a sharp/light grind.....suprisingly mine work pretty well in the wet, didn't slip once at all earlier (Y)

Is that the only type you can do? You said you make the grinder stop you push so hard, that cant be good! Nice light but sharp grind work well on Plaz pads......... apparently

lol so it was just 'prawns' knock off pads? is there anything i can do to stop them from wearing down so quickly straight away?

Don't use them?

Stop bein' f**kin' gay and just use them.

There good pads, don't drag them just for the noise, and don't ride through puddles.

Yeah, but you don't realise you can make these pads last a little under a year...

You don't need to worry that there gonna' wear down to 2mm in a day.

Er..... Don't grind your rim? :-

Mine work great with clean pads/rim. Or amazing with a tiny bit of tar...... will last forever, me thinks!

That's just me.... I don't get the whole grind thing. (In that folks with a grind still argue about what pads are best?)

Goodluck though!

PS: Yeah, summer is over.... they are crap in the wet though!

I've had my plaz for well over a year now, and they're still nice.

Been on 3 different rims with grinds - light, harsh etc, and have still been great!

They've barely worn too! When I got some Zoo pads, the Plaz had literally 3mm less meat? If that?

They went all crappy, but I grinded the rim, and got a file to the pads and sanded them slightly to clean them up, and they were great again!

Think I might get some Onza Citris ones soon...only £11...
