onzatprodude
hey, ive just ordered some plazmatic pads because i done some research on them and most peoples comments were extremly good, but now that i bought them i done some more reasearch and saw a few replys saying that there plazmatic pads have lost half the pad in one ride and have yellow dust on there rim people started saying it was just a 'bad batch' but im quite worried now as i dont have the money to keep buing pads if they run out... what i want to know is...has anyone bought some plazmatic pads recently? and have they worn down really quick?also if they are still wearing down quick do they work good on a smooth rim? and not wear down as fastthanks any help appricieated
Will Arnold
use your brake for trials, not for slowing down on a big hill like some, and u'll be finefantastic pads imo!

Mark W
Mine wore a bit at first and then just stopped wearing almost entirely. I think my pair on the front lasted for basically when I was in the womb to five minutes ago (ish). They're good pads though Harsh grind's not gonna help them out, so just keep it light to medium and you'll be fine.

Second time you've used a set of new brake pads to "slow down on a hill" and raped them. f**king learn from your mistakes already! Plaz pads are amazing, it's just that you don't appear to be able to operate a bike correctly
Lee Cable
Had mine for about 6 months, used about half, but they appear to have stopped wearing, without a loss in braking..i love mine:)

Mark W
Plaz pads aren't great in the wet, but some of the Koxx Bloxx are My Koxx greens took it like men with a decent grind anyway

Is that the only type you can do? You said you make the grinder stop you push so hard, that cant be good! Nice light but sharp grind work well on Plaz pads......... apparently Edited August 31, 2006 by Matt Gibson
onzatprodude
lol so it was just 'prawns' knock off pads? is there anything i can do to stop them from wearing down so quickly straight away?
Mark W
Nah, they do genuinely tend to wear down pretty fast at first, it's just as they bed in. Some people's seem to level off if they're bedded in sorta gently, others don't. It seems to be luck of the draw with Plaz pads.

Concussion
Er..... Don't grind your rim? Mine work great with clean pads/rim. Or amazing with a tiny bit of tar...... will last forever, me thinks! That's just me.... I don't get the whole grind thing. (In that folks with a grind still argue about what pads are best?)Goodluck though!PS: Yeah, summer is over.... they are crap in the wet though! Burton
Plazs work really well Just not in the wet. Dan6061
I've had my plaz for well over a year now, and they're still nice.Been on 3 different rims with grinds - light, harsh etc, and have still been great! They've barely worn too! When I got some Zoo pads, the Plaz had literally 3mm less meat? If that? They went all crappy, but I grinded the rim, and got a file to the pads and sanded them slightly to clean them up, and they were great again!Think I might get some Onza Citris ones soon...only £11...
