Im buying a Avid BB7 and I'm just trying to work out what lever and cable to get for it...

The Odyssey Linear slic kable sounds to be the best...here

But I'm unsure on what lever to get...i have felt a xtr lever and not partically liked it, just interested to hear some peoples opinions.

Cheers

XTR feels about the best to me so I can't really advise you on the lever, but I have that Odyssey Linear slic cable on my bb7 and it's reet good so definately go for that. For that price as well you can't really go wrong (Y)(Y)

just got my avid ultimate levers............DEFFO WORTH IT, sooooooo nice, your finger sits in the bend like a vice and they are silky smooth, also made my brakes better.

(ps, also get some shimano xtr gear cable, has to be the 5mm stuff! even better than nokon!!!)

I think Deore levers are nice'r than XTR's in my opinion, the XTR's are good but they gave me realy bad blisters, I meen realy bad. I was of my bike for a week becuase of them, after that they were good though, but the Deores are really nice I thought, they are really cheap aswell. If I were you i would go with the deore or Maybe a XTR. If you can stretch your limit then go for a Ultimate, there Niceeee.

I’m running an ultimate lever, it feels so good, maybe a bit too powerful at time though (my problem is I cant stand the power wound out as it is too sharp :( ) but would highly recommend the ultimate worth the money
