Matthew_Gibson
I'm a bit taller than you, about 5 10ish. I had a go on Robs T-Pro which he said was 1035 (don't quote me the exact length) but that felt quite nice actually! If I were going to get a mod I'd get something that size, or a bit shorter. But I ride stock so I'm not the best person to give advise on mods. Anyway............ Typing gone to shit! CBProductions
Im 5.7 and used to ride a 1030 /1035 toxsin mod and that I found was ok for me If I could get along with mod. No real problems I just prefer riding big bike.
Mark W
Went from a 990mm WB T-Pro to a 1040mm or so Zip to a 1035mm or so Slinger, and it's all been fine, really. I think I prefer the length of the longer frames, but the overall geometry changed as well so it's hard to say. There's a lot of good stuff about longer bikes, but short flicky mods are all good too I doubt it'll be shit at any rate, Dan seems to be able to beast that son-of-a-bitch around pretty well anyway. You'll be sidehopping to backwheel up small-child-head-height in no time

poopipe
Team stem, Zoo bars. Every time. f**k that horrific low Zoo stem shit Oh, and I'm 6'2"...stopped bumming the t-master stem have we ? I vote for t-master + zoo bars cos it'll save you a tenner
Mark W
Nah, T-Master stems are still nice, but I wanted to try something a bit lower, and people seem to get on with the Team stems pretty well. The new non-carbon Onza risers may be worth a look I guess. More alu = stronger, sssssssssurely?
poopipe
only jesting anyway Im kinda feeling the same way about my stem - fortunately I'd spacered mine a fair bit so I'm free to reduce height without spending money . back vaguely on topic. I just got a t-lite frame and I was riding a t-pro, has anyone got any handy hints on setting it up so it feels nice first time - eg. should I lower the stem or tilt the bars or anything like that? I figure the change in length could work a bit like high bb stocks and stem height (ie. feel shit unless you have a high stem)
Mark W
I'm not too sure, really. The way that the T-Lite stays are quite a lot shorter means there's not much you could do either way. People seem to like the Monty stems on shorter mods though, so maybe worth a look? I liked the feel of my T-Master stem 'til I got back on my trials bike after riding my BMX, and it just felt mad high. Just seemed like a slightly lower stem would fit the bill. I'll no doubt have money one day and be able to fulfill this dream, but until then...

Greetings
I'm 5'11" and I was fine on a long GU (1045ish + short stays which makes it uber long) and even nicer on a 986/996mm Monty. However, by far the nicest mod was the short GU. It felt awesome, just the right length and size for me.edit: short GU was 1010mm Edited August 31, 2006 by Inur
