Boris_the_second
Ive always been told koxx brown and yellow are the best for all wethers don't know though never used them. That is if you have a magura. If not spanish fly V-ee pads. Simply the shlong.

Si-man
If your rim is smooth, then I dont think any will work aswell as compared to a grind.
Abdab.
Even better than pads............ Dont ride in the rain BUT if you insist of riding in the wet then youve got to have a little grind at least, the minute you get a slap of water on a smooth rim then your playing with DEATH!And ronnie rims work the best with Plaz pads on a little grind.. They really do
Rob CRX
A harder pad will work better in the wet as it will be able to put more force onto the rim making it bite. A grind would help serious amounts though as it gives little channels for the water to escape and some high points for the pad to grab onto. Just basic physics but being new to trials i dont know which pad is whichRob

matt!
i would personally suggest a ronnie rim, light grind, with either green zoo pads or yellow plazmatic crm`z you should be alright with that set up. Zoo are shit in the rain its like having no break, go for a harsh grind and koxx bloxx greens they are made for more wet weather riding. BrAd-Tpro
I run.. Koxx reds > light grind > abit of tar > brilliant rain or shine
Rob CRX
Not really. In the same respect, a softer pad will 'squash' somewhat more, meaning it's got a good hold on the rim...your correct a soft pad will just squish onto the rim but you need the extra force a harder pad would provide. Its the same as a race car racing in the wet and dry. Softer in the dry, harder in the wet
max-t
haha.i was riding through brookes and my koxx blues were still working beast on a grind on a dx32very good for the winter.max.....
CurtisRider
koxx bloxx browns are proven wet weather pads with a grind, im also very impressed with my coust pads so far, however i havent had them long, they arent affected in the wet like my crvs were and arent much louder which is nice get a grind for the wet, and for the dry actually... Jaffacakes
Koxx rim, Medium grind with Plaz pads Plasmatics...rain?If you even say rain around plazzys they slip.Just go for any koxx bloxx with a grind. I have browns and they work awesome with a grind in any weather. If you want a bit extra bite in the dry just put a little bit of tar on. bhups
I run.. Koxx reds > light grind > abit of tar > brilliant rain or shine Tar has the opposite effect in the rain, meaning it goes shit and acts like oil, so dont put tar on in the rain. It is good for when the sun it out but not for rain. Edited August 29, 2006 by bhups

Walleee
your correct a soft pad will just squish onto the rim but you need the extra force a harder pad would provide. Its the same as a race car racing in the wet and dry. Softer in the dry, harder in the wet It's nothing like a race car because they dont use ground rims for braking, they use disk's which work on the fact that they are smooth. An extreme example is blue tack and glass, blue tack obviously being the soft material, will still hold to a certain degree if there is water on the rim, glass would offer very little bite. If the two surfaces are smooth, which they seem to be in this case, a softer pad will work better regardless of the moisture, of course it may make the brake feel shite, but that's not what we are discussing.....^^^^^^^^^^^^^ absolutely right.done use tar..basically like putting wd40 on your rim WD40 would probobly be better than tar
