GTF
What are the pros/cons with high/low bb's?And how is frames with seats compared to seatless frames? (sidejumps, bunnyjumps, taps, etc)Cheers
Abdab.
Dear oh dear......I once had a GU Typhoon 20" and i found that this had a disadvantage. I found it really hard to sidehop, it felt really weird and cramped when i did then. Whereas on a bike with a low bb (06 Python) I got my sidehops back to normal and found then much more easier. This doesnt mean to say that High bb bikes arent as good its just my opinion. Damon watson and Matt Arkwright both ride GU 26"s and their amazing on then.Where do I start.... Saddless bikes are much better in my opinion. That is if your a 26" or 20" rider. The last thing you want when your trying to ride is a seat, It gets n the way and When you "Tuk" on the bike it is often caught on your leg etc.........Not to say i wouldnt have a seat if i was riding a 24".So I would advice to have no seat on your bike if you ride 20" or 26"

Abdab.
I found it harder to sidehop on my GU, which as a high b/b. Dont know really just felt cramped and when i tucked on a sidehop I often hit my leg on bars and sumtimes my knee in my face if i was lucky. Id just go with a low b/b bike. Eg.. a python, and if you want a short bike then its not long till the 07's are released And Dengs done another short one

spode@thinkbikes
The only difference I've found going from an Orange Zero to a KOT MS2 (+45mm IIRC), is that it's a lot more comfortable on the back wheel. But that could also be because of the extra length.I have my stem quite high to compensate for the high BB rise...
MikeCottTrials
IGNORE THE MOD RIDERS THEY ARE GAY AND THEY DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT STOCKShigh bb = immensehigh bb is just the thing to have for stocks. imo its good for every move there is. theres nothing i cant do better on my GU than on any other frame. i dont know where people where coming from when they said high bb was harder for taps because it just isnt in fact its better. the bike sits on the back wheel really nicely and sidehops easily.also the seat thing, you really dont want a seat for real trials it just gets in the wayand damon has got a GU its not as good as mine and he copied me because im cool and i got one first Edited August 29, 2006 by MikeCottTrials

lads-girl
My new frame has a very high bb and i found it a lot easier to ride than my old frame. Also no seat win everytime due to nothing to hit you up the arse when you tuk.
