hi everyone

i seem to have trouble with snapping chains.i have snapped a kmc 3 times now in

the space of a month.i lubricated them and made sure all the links were tight enough

but they still snapped very promptly.

does anyone run a chain other than sram or kmc that is of a high standard and doesnt

snap really easy.

i am starting to worry for my well being!

thanks,

max...

:$ Whoops!!

One of the people i usually ride with has got that chain and he rides a Base TA26! Could be cos its single speed with a bmx sprocket.... Sorry mate!

dont worry (Y)

i was also woried about the clearance of the chain against my burn bashring and i really would have to slam some spacers on the chainring bolts to allow the chain to fit...only just fits a kmc narrow.ill have to sort it

Ive also snapped 3 Kmc chains in the space of 3 months...So one every month.

I snapped one because I greased it up to lubricate it so it would run smoother and nicer. But I found that grit got onto the chain and stayed on it and it wore away at the links causing it to snap....

So now I just leave my chains and nothings happened to my 4th one for over 2 months now.

Also chains do weaken by been ridin in the rain because it causes them to rust
