If you mean hook as in hooking you front wheel over the lip of the wall then rolling up? Its a fluid motion mate! you need to use your momentum from landing on the wall, then quickly shift your wieght forward to lighten your back wheel and roll up! If you can get your wieght forward quick enough you should find it come on quickly!

use a long run up and get speed.. hit the wall really hard with both wheel at the same time...when you hit the wall push all of your body weight forward and push the bars through...stretch your arms our and the back wheel should follow.its all practice though...you wont get it first few attemps..i would also say watching a video of someone who is good at hooking...id say best to watch neil. in zoo video 31.hooks galore and it has many different angles of him doing it..

good luck with it mate (Y):)

Try doing it on more sloped walls at first, to learn the body position and movement, then gradually build it up from there.

It does help with having more speed as the momentum tends to carry you up to the top. It is one of them moves that take full commitment otherwise it just ends up nasty >_< .

You should also try and get your upper body right over the bars as the frontwheel hooks, then as your shoulders move beyond your bars when the frontwheel is hooked, you want to pull up with you arms to bring the bike up, then extend your arms to push the bike on top of the wall. Most of the move does come down to using your momentum to carry the bike to the top.

Definitely have a look on trashzen, as the slow motion videos show body position very well (Y)
