Frame Re-threading?

Hey there, i have managed to double thread the threads inside the BB cup, but not badly. Which tool would i need to Re-thread it? It has only cross threaded the first 1-2 threads would still not be wise to just screw a new BB into it? (obviously not wanting the BB to pissup)

Help please :S

Cheers, Nick

The one that Danny posted you can get from www.tartybikes.co.uk

The one i put up you can get that from www.parktool.com

I'd suggest going for the one from Tarty as it is probably cheaper and it wouldn't take long to get to you.

Why dont you try your local bike shop first instead of buying one, they should have the tool in shop and it would only take them a couple of minutes to sort it out for you.

I have checked tarty already and it doesn't seem to be listed under 'tools' which i would imagen is where it would be.

I will try a local bike shop though thanks for the help mate. (Y)

cheapest one you can buy is roughly £140

if you want u can send the frame to me and i will do it for a £5-10

but you will ahve to pay postage too.

so i would try your local bike shops, they may have one, and will sort it out for £5

good luck.

Yes i've just been looking around i didn't realize they would cost a million billion pound :( ill go into a bike shop then.

(this is rather annoying because a friend of mine who lives just round the corner has one locked up in his shed but hes on holiday.)

I may take you up on that if not ill send it into tart, i really don't want to have to send my frame anywhere because i don't want to risk not having it back and built in time for a ride i'm looking forward to. :turned:
