Hey! For about just over a week now I have been getting a little frustrated over my cranks they never shut up! Theyre either creaking or making some kind of noise its realy irritatating and it seems there is no way to sort it out ive tried bb tightening wd40 ultra tightening via a hammerand the rest .

Does anybody else have this problem ? And have a good way to sort it out?

Thanks Alot

Tom

i run musclemans and have found them to be great and wont upgrade them till they snap or jus have the cash lieing around. i doubt its the crank more than likely it will be your bb, i have had the same creanking and it was because the bb was loose or the crank. it could also be your freewheel, if your running a acs tighten the lockring up.

OI... (Y)

i've had this problem with these cranks before, don't bother getting a new bottom bracket because that is not the problem. the creaking is most probably your non drive side, its is common for this crank to undo after a while as it dose this, there is movement in the arm thus,, the creaking, to solve this all you need to do is to take it off wipe it down and grease it up. wen you do this you should only grease up the the square taper it is important to not grease up the thread on the bolts, else the crank will loosen again.

this will help,,, so i sagest u do it.

ps dont use wd40, as this a bad idea as it will loosen again, the problem is with the crank not bb. (Y)

I'm running a copy of those cranks by acor and there indestructible slightly bent but that was the previous owner dropping a 5ft wall kind of harshly, don't bother replacing just make sure the bolts are done up and there is grease on the tapers. hope this helps.
