God leave the lad alone! JESUS he only asked for some advise. There is only one person doing that. Robs had trouble with Koxx pads before so it could be a faulty batch? how nose,

LAY OFF GUYS!

Get some heatsink Whites Rob there pretty dam good!

DONT BUY FRENCH POOP!!

:-

cheers matt, i guess some people just dont know how to be friendly...

I Couldnt care less, infact it would be nice to not see a new "my brake doesnt work" topic everyweek.

why come on the forum then? posts are repeated ALL the time on this forum... so why come on if you have seen them before...

The thing i was getting at is, why did the pads just rip apart? they didnt "grate" apart, but they "ripped" apart, in little chunks...

probobly cos your grind was totally f**ked up from having been done once after every ride.

Surley it's not just koxx pads robs had hassle with, he f**ked up some new tensile one's did he not? I seem to remember reading many post's where his brakes work for a while, he arses about or does what no-one else would do and totally f**ks it up, and then blames the pad/manufacturer.

First of all, i have a VERY light but sharp grind... so it isnt exactly harsh enough to rip the pads apart...

And they werent tensile pads, they were onza citrus pads... which were just shit all the time...

That is true i admit :rolleyes:

I think the pads are nearly bedded back in now anyways.. i just hate the bedding in period... pisses me off, cause i have to do it EVER time i go riding...

Buy some new pads, and set-up your brake properly.

They arnt even 1 week old yet... just got them on saturday morning... brand new...

+ i can set a brake up properly...

Im really thinking of quiting, since i have no one to ride with and i dont ride at all very often any more... but all my mates (like 30 of them...) have DH and jump bikes.. which are out ALL the time...

but i dont want to quit on the other hand, seeing as im good at trials, and i love the sport... and i have just got my first sponsor!!!

lol, i did use my front brake, but i was REAL close to the car.. so had to use back aswell, unless i would have gotten knocked over..

i just took pads off, and had a look at them, they were covered in white dust, so i sanded them down a tiny bit and cleaned my rim... but no... they are still wank..

I feel like selling my trials bike and getting a jump bike.. im VERY tempted... its times like this which makes me wanna do that... even though i have just got my first sponsor yesterday :P

Really? You hadn't mentioned it :P

Koxx Browns or greens seem to be where it's at, to be fair. My greens lasted for a good long while, and on a fresh grind I've never, ever used a pad that's been better (and I've tried a few), except for maybe X-Hydras. They don't count though seeing as you can wear them out in a breeze...

I didn't think my greens were that good, they were okay, but nothing too special. They disappeared when I went down a hill and tried to stop, mmm green dust. lol!

Maybe you two are just shit at slowing down on hills? If you've both powdered a pair of pads riding down hills, and my Koxx lasted for 8months, y'know, just saying :P

i would just like too say, i actually passed a car whilst going down this hill lol, so i think i was going a good 35mph... atleast...

so maybe that was the problem?
