downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Right, well, i got bloxx reds on saturday, and they were AMAZING PADS!!! this morning (like 20 mins ago) i was out riding by myself, and the pads were ACE, bit very well, were loud as f**k and didnt slip...But then on the way home, i was riding down a massive hill fast, and a car pulled out in front of me, so i jammed back brake on, and the pads flew apart on me! now the brake is f**king wank and doesnt even hold... you can pedal when pulling brake as hard as you like, asif you werent even pulling the brake!!What can i do to solve this?Oh yeah, and when i had a look, the rim was covered in little chunks of pad, so i washed this off with water, and now the rims dry, but the brake is still absolutly wank!!!P.S, sorry for swaring, im just pissed off! Smo™
If the pads flew apart, send them back and ask for new ones.
Mark W
If you explained "Pads flew apart" that might help? D'you mean they came loose from their backings or what? Either way, with my Bloxx just some water on them, then drag 'em for a bit always revived them.

downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Don't you have a front disc? Cars pulling out is what stoppies followed by a quick bird-flip were made for lol, i did use my front brake, but i was REAL close to the car.. so had to use back aswell, unless i would have gotten knocked over..i just took pads off, and had a look at them, they were covered in white dust, so i sanded them down a tiny bit and cleaned my rim... but no... they are still wank..I feel like selling my trials bike and getting a jump bike.. im VERY tempted... its times like this which makes me wanna do that... even though i have just got my first sponsor yesterday Edited August 23, 2006 by terror-error
Walleee
ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaThis is great, how many topics do you have to make about pads being shitty, when it's now blatently obvious that is you, that is probobly f**king them up. No-one else seems to have the same problems with every single type of pad they buy.Get someone else to set up your brakes for you, actually ride the bike for an hour without changing the f**kin' set-up, and then maybe you'll get a working brake.I'd like to know how much money you've wasted on pad's from totally f**king them up in one way or another.Once more, ahahahahahahahahahahaha. Mark W
Why get a jump bike when you could get a BMX, do all the "jump" stuff you would be doing, but be able to ride street and skateparks as well, have a better choice of bikes and parts suited to the tasks and be ahead of the trends instead of half-heartedly following them like most of the "Urban attack" guys seem to be doing? But that's another story If you've sorted out the surface of the pads, make sure you've sorted the rim out properly as well. I don't mean "grind it" (again ), but just double check it's all clean and nice. Try using Muck-Off or some cleaning agent as opposed to just water, maybe? downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
i already have a BMX its shit. i hate riding it...Im gonna go give my rim a proper clean, even though it isnt dirty, cause i just washed it t'other day, and havnt even rode it intill today...and i like single track. more that street Get someone else to set up your brakes for you, actually ride the bike for an hour without changing the f**kin' set-up, and then maybe you'll get a working brake.Hmm, if you read the topic, you will see that my brake was working FINE, and it wasnt a problem at all, intill i pulled it coming down the hill...I guess it just needs bedding into the rim AGAIN, but i cant be f**king arsd doing that! so i think im gonna sell the bike, i cant be arsd with it any more... Walleee
Yes, selling it could be the best idea, especially if you couldn't be arsed.
Joe Papasnap Maher
i cant be arsd with it any more...you cant be arsed to set up your brake?? Seriosly go now...quit trials and buy a jump bike, go over to the mbuk forum ad complain to them, that ur brakes art working. Mark W
your a f**king willy blah blahEDIT: Properly clean the rim, see if that does it. If that doesn't, buy new pads. Easy as that. If something doesn't work, clean it up, look at it, see if there's anything wrong. If it still doesn't work, replace.

Egg Fried Rice
So, instead of taking 30 mins (max) aside to bed the brake in, you're gonna sell your bike? selling/stopping trials because of brake pads *sighs*JK
