Bondy
I remember the last GCSE thread from last year, everyone ended up getting some very good results!GCSE's were soo overrated, teachers made them out to be life or death results, i got the grades i needed to get me into college easy so i was happy good luck to everyone! adamtrials
I'm going in about 9 so i can have a chat with everyone before we get them at 10.I will be pretty pleased as long as i get 5 Bs which is the minimum entry for my schools 6th form.Should have an A* in DT, A in physics hopefully, B in maths, A or B in music, two Bs in english, maybe a b in geography, probably Cs in the rest. God knows what i got in art though... All hell will break loose if i dont get 5 bs though...I will be a bit pissed if my cousin does better than me, as he is in a cruddy comprehensive and i'm in one of the top grammar schools in the country and the best school in shropshire, but i have messed around for the past 5 years... RicH_87
GCSE's were soo overrated, teachers made them out to be life or death results. They are life or death. GCSE's prove to people you can actually be relied on to do the bare minumum in life. GCSE's are easy, if you can't do those, then you pretty much can't do anything. If you were an employer, and someone applied for a job who couldn't wire up a plug, do simple equations or write a couple of pages about a book, why on earth would you expect them to work well for you.college ain't shit to be fair, education is all about proof that you can do things that you are expected to do. The end result is a JOB, it ain't college, or university.Good luck peeps for tomorrow, my brother is getting his, so i hope he gets at least some D's. (he's a slacker). adamtrials
You can go to City college, they let anyone in.Which then poses the question is it really worth going to a place like that?Presumably full of slackers doing pointless subjects like media studies and travel and tourism who are just there to get their EMA? And another question, if you dont do well enough to get into a decent college is there any point doing a levels? If i dont get into my schools 6th form i probably wont be going to college (Almost certainly seeing as I havent applied...), I will probably work for a year or two then join the RAF, or give being a concert pianist a shot. Your such a f**kin snobAlso, just because your parents pay about £4000 a term for your education, doesnt mean that you will get all good grades you know. Its feels weird that im no longer hearing about older brothers or sisters picking up thier results, its actually me now, its quite scary. I dont think its actually sunk in yet that secondry school is over, its the end of an era which makes me sad. I had some really great times these past few years and it feels weird leaving all the memories behind. I should get what i am predicted but we shall see tomorrow.GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!Aaron. Radfax
wow jesus is this adam lad being serious i have day release to collage for graphic design and 3d sculpture i get sent to 2 diffrent collages, both totaly diffrent in what they do and who they accept but they are both great places to be, people that are in collage are there because they want to be there and its not going to be a "shit hole" as you describe it, if the people are there because they want to be there its going to be a great place and i love both my collages i am at.And what you are saying about EMA adam thats really low and VERY pathetic, id take time to think about the type of person you are, your certanly not the kind of person i would like to know.Tom Edited August 23, 2006 by Radfax
