Walleee
Tonight was totally f**ked up.Me and a few mates went down to a local point . When we got there we saw another friends car to walked around to try and find them, we saw a mobile phone and headed towards it, and met our friends on route, so there was a guy up on a high point over the water sitting fishing. After about 5 minutes or so we see thios guy randomly tumble down toward the water. We looked at each other and were like 'did you see that' and then ran overto see someone floating in the water face down, with a light on the bottom of the water about 8 ft down. One of my mates jumped in while I got on the phone to the coastguard who sent out two lifeboats, one from bangor, and one from donaghadee. The guy had a serious head injury and was taking a fit while he was on the water, he also started foaming at the mouth but did start breathing after some hefty squeezing to try and get water out of him, there isn't much else a 19 yr old guy can do with a fat fisherman wearing a big coat, by the time the lifeboat arrive it took 4 of them (ie a full crew, including driver) to drag him onto the boat and then they put him onto donaggahdee lifeboat which had a doctor on board, he was brought to hospital in an abulance which sped past us in a critical condition the coastguard woman said he was not such a pretty picture. After that, leaving towards home on a country road, a rabbit ran out infront of the car, I saw it, hesitated, and the driver missed it, the people behind us, the driver who had just been in the water, followed up the road and sseen the rabbit, we put that out of it's misery before any foxes would get to it and headed on.Then on the road home, harry got a phone call from sam, and during the conversation we drove past him .Anyway I just wanted to share those strange circumstances .Ill get in touch with the coastguard and try and see how he is tomorrow, the last we heard he wasn't too good unfortunatelybut his head was out of the water within a matter of minutes and we did the absolute best we could really.. Had the guy died, no doubt there would have been more questions asked.anyways, I can't complain at all:'The adrenaline was pumping' Edited August 31, 2006 by jake1516
