Help Me Fellows Of Tf

Dr. Nick Riviera

Recommended Posts

for i am now homeless.

yes lads, my mother decided that in order to cope with her nervous breakdown, the best idea would be to put her 17 year old son out onto the streets.

nice one.

and legally she can, morally however...

so i'm a bit f**ked, being 17 she can legally tell me to go. and that's that.

i really don't know why i'm posting this to be honest, maybe someone who's experienced similar can drop me an email?

i'm currently staying with a friend and stealing wireless internet so i may be on msn sporadically.

hi to prawny and dan clark.

cheers.

Charel

edit: three days away and my typing goes to shit.

dunno wat the situation is with benefits etc round ur way, but similar thing happened to my mate at 17. was basically kicked out due to him and his sister not getting on, and sister being predicted A's at a level , and him dossing round, he got the kick.

yea, it aint the same reasons as you, but situations the same, your homeless and young. hes currently living in a council supported flat or whatever its official term is. yea it aint pretty. but its got , a bathroom, a basic kitchen, a bed, bit of furniture, a tv, with license payed, heating, water(hot and cold), leccy. etc. and his contribution to this is a measly 3 quid a week. yea its not a good life, but its hell of a lot better than losing everything, selling up your personal belongings for food and b and b accomadation, and 6 months down the line, having bugger all cash, and being totally fecked with no fixed abode, so no chance of getting a job.

hopefully a few months down the line, hell be working enough, to rent a proper house/flat, slowly get on his feet, yea it aint gunna be easy, and he aint gunna be driving a flash motor, living in his own house, getting a mortgage etc, for a few years. but its all a part of life.

Kudos to your friend for keeping after you for a while, that's what they're for (Y)

To be honest, maybe your Mum just needs a week out or something. After thinking she was critically ill before and stuff, and now with the other stuff going on, maybe she just needs to calm down a bit, so maybe you being out of the picture may help her? Who knows, you've probably got a better idea than anyone else on here. Just try and keep in touch with her. Even though she's made you leave, she still needs you.

no chance, went to pick up some clothes and she done rang the police. long story but i had to leave.

i got my clothes and have been given a semi permanent place to stay at a friends in a spare room.

(thank f**k for unsecured wireless internet)

so it seems there will be no chance of me ever living with my family again.

going to see the council tomorrow.

prawny, yet again, you are a dude.

cheers.

really does sound shit man, id try and get as many benefits as possible then get a good idea behind you and become rich, then visit your old mam in your merc (Y) .

on the plus side i could see such a situation giving you a lot of motiavtion to do what evr you want or am i wrong?

i can see why your saying that, but i mean like on a revenge streak, you strive yourself to be as good as you can be so you can get what you want out of life. and then prove to your mum you did better without her.

second thoughts i cant really comment as i havent been anywhere close to been in that position :(

All I can say is, try and work your guts off in college. Come up trumps and find a good job.

You can get a flat through the council now for around £3 a week. Especially if your in college they should be able to back you up. Phone them up, explain the situation and how you want to further your education but won't be able to if you loose a roof under your head. They do make special allowances.

My mate was jobless for two years and was put up in a 2 bedroom flat for the duration, payed for by the council. Got his dole, went to college and could afford bits and bobs for his bike.

Phone them up, Now.

Hmmm, sounds pretty sketchy. Is your Mum, um, OK in the head? Have you done anything that might have deserved being kicking out?

I reckon you can apply for the dole and/or EMA or some kind of loan and get a flat or something until you finish college.

Good luck, anyway.

I suggest looking all over the internet to find out EXACTLY what your rights are then going and seeing the council. If you have a lot of trouble go see your MP if that isn't enough the local press is an amazing way of pressuring the council.

Best of luck, if theres anything I can do feel free to contact me. (Y)
