sir trial a lot
hmmmmmm, im not sure on a private price but i know at the likes of car auctions they sell for like £300 ish. My brother is currently selling his MINT condition 106 51 reg for £2195. In my opinion, the car your looking at is fairly over priced. Fish-Finger-er
im in the trade, so wouldnt pay anywhere near that for one. even at dealers, trade ins should be less than that.saw a 1.1 106, m reg(but this was 11 months ago) so now would be about equivalent to a 96/n plate car. tidy, 54k on the clock. cd player. no scratches or dents. no rust, ran well. and that was 300 quid at a peugeot dealership to any member of the public, wud of probly been 280 at a push/ picked up a good condition r plated 306 TD(diesel so can compare like for like), with 70k on,air con etc. its a much better engined car, better built, not so scary to crash in. quicker, and insurance friendly, cost a friend of mine 1150 through private sale, and thats about 6 months ago. also, i was under the impression there never was a pug 1.4 derv. thought they wer all 1.5's. may be wrong though
Bluegrass
I have an M reg 106, 1.5 diesel bla bla similar to the one you're buying. I payed 775 for mine, it was in great condition from a private seller.1300 is far too much to pay in my opinion. My girlfriends shopping for cars at the moment, i've phoned around garages for her, 900-995 for things like R reg 106's and P reg Micras etc, i.e newer than this M reg you're looking at. Shop around

MadManMike
Seriously, you could get one at least 500 cheaper elsewhere mate
Heatsink
Seriously, you could get one at least 500 cheaper elsewhere mateI agree! Have a quick search on autotrader to confirm and you'll find the same.If you have a choice, a 106 is maybe a little on the small side for carting bikes and riders around. Why not look at slighty larger hatch backs in 5 doors?
Chicky
Yeah well to be honest i need something to cart my drum kit around in.
Fish-Finger-er
will pick up an r reg 306 for the same, be it 1.4 petty, 1.6 petty, 1.8 petty or 1.9td. be a lot better, often quicker, comfier,(more rear leg room in the 306 than in my bmw 3 series)economical(diesel does 55-60 per gallon). The enchanted broomstick
howdy, im just wondering do you have your heart particularly set on a 306? If not have you thought about the renault megane? I bought the coupe as my first car and i loved it to bits, quick, good size, convenient, incredibally good fuel consumption just a great car.For £1300 you could get a nice coupe - if you like them and they are really nice cars to drive mate with the added bonus of proper cheap insurance even on a 1.6 engine, meaning you can beat most of you mates in their cars Alternatively i found this little bargain As you can see its an R reg (1997/8) a 1.6 8v engine - quick but good fuel use and cheap insurance with only 76 thousand miles on the clock, how much you ask?£975...................... need i say more ?
