sir trial a lot
If i rode stock (and didnt do comps) i would be running single speed, it just keeps everything neater and lessens the chance of your bike skipping into another gear whilst doing a gap or something
max-t
no gears deffinately.saves so much weight and space.but if you use 2 different gears then i guess that you will have to run a cassett
GTF
I believe that most rides don't use gears, exept in comps. We can't tell you what's better or not. that's up to you.i think it's better to run singe speed... if the gears isn't adjusted that's a pain..but as I said, It's all up to you

MaD CAt
i have gears on my bike and i don't have a problem with any extra weight, but really yeah it depends on what style of riding you are doing, such as for a street pure rider no gears would be great, but gears don't really add much weight.
