froggy
From what I remember... It depends on what connection your running. If it's over 512mb your rate is to low. Try these commands in the consoleRate 22000cl_updaterate 101cl_cmdrate 101toggle them between rate 20000 - 28000cl_updaterate 80 - 127cl_cmdrate 80 - 127helps if you have cl cmdrate and updaterate the same. You can always go on steam forums and download other peoples config files.Edit 2500 is default but it's not average. Mr_Pitbull
thanks for the help I'll see if theres any major difference next time i play. Will post back tonight. if problem occurs is may be something to do with my internet connection....or possibly the ammount of programs that are running in processes when i do Ctrl + Alt + delete......I dont know how to stop them i think many of them may be spyware? SemteX
Get spyware doctor to give your comp a good scan for spyware and other crap. How many processes have you got running in your task manager? Also, click on the performance tab and you can see how much work your CPU is doing and how much memory is being used.Go here and here where you can check what each running process is. End the ones you don't need running.
Haz
You truyed putting CZ as a low priority task? That sorts out a lot of rate problems, normally.

Haz
When it's running, Ctrl+Alt+Delete ---> Processes ---> Right click and click 'Priority' on the menu and select 'High' or whatever. I was thinking of something else when I said low, w00ps.If that doesn't work. Buy CSS

Josephine
I have CSS, so are you telling me to run it on High?????? or Low High, basically what that means is that it'll get priority for processing power over less important programs and hopefully run a bit faster.Joe x

SCOTTY___
Theres nothing you can do to stop cl_flushentypackets.Say your running Long A on Dust2, so many packets get sent back and forth along the way and are getting lost. eather you have a gap in your connection where there getting lost or your nets playing up.rates set up your connection to allow you to " reg " fine on the game and can help slightly with lag.Could be alot of spyware on your computer.Rates from:: 16000 - 60 60 lowest.25000 - 101 101 higest. these are LAN rates for a reason and only used for high spec PCs. munkee
Lost packets is definitely a connection problem. Are you running wireless? if so check your signal strength if it anything below the max out/input then there is your answer. If you are running direct you need to check your download speed a few times to see what your download speed is running at. If it isnt running to its full potential then id take a look at some connection optimiser. If none of this helps try running your desktop resolution lower for example from 1680*1050 down to 1070 etc..also then lower the ingame res and run it in a window. Type in console net_graph 3 and check your choke and packet loss if you have anything over say .. hmm 10? then you have some big problems. You should only really be losing 1-3 max
